Westlake Fender System

This project consisted of removal and replacement of an existing railroad bridge fender system. Work was done while the railroad bridge remained operational. TG fabricated a new steel fender system and barged the completed units to the job from Galveston. New 60” DIA pipe piles were driven in precise locations to match up with the fender structure’s pipe sleeves. Once concrete pipe plugs were poured, the fender system sections were lifted and placed on to the 60” DIA pipe piles.
