REBUILD GALVESTON BASE, COAST GUARD SECTOR FIELD OFFICE

The USCG Galveston base is located on Galveston Island at the intersection of the Houston and Galveston Ship Channel. This project included demolition of approximately 360’ of an existing wave screen consisting of concrete sheet piling and batter piling, removal of existing docks, and demolition/ removal of launch ways/ rail system.

The new work consisted of new 615’ steel sheet pile wave screen with concrete batter pile with concrete cap, 300’ of new steel sheet pile bulkhead with concrete cap, new covered mooring, floating docks, shoreline revetment repair, and concrete paving.
